R E S O L U T I O N
 
         WHEREAS, Constable Carl M. Bisbee of the Nueces County
  Constable's Office lost his life in the line of duty on July 6,
  1925, and his service and sacrifice will not soon be forgotten; and
         WHEREAS, An officer with three years of experience in the
  department, Constable Bisbee was attempting to arrest a group of
  men alongside his partner, Deputy Constable R. R. Bledsoe, when the
  suspects drew handguns and fatally shot both constables; at the
  time of his death, he was survived by his wife; and
         WHEREAS, Our state and nation benefit immeasurably from the
  courage and commitment of law enforcement professionals such as
  Constable Carl Bisbee, who willingly place themselves in harm's way
  each day to safeguard the lives and property of their fellow
  citizens; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas
  Legislature hereby pay tribute to the life and exemplary service of
  Constable Carl M. Bisbee of the Nueces County Constable's Office.
