SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 1010
	In Memory
	of
	Guadalupe Deanda Sandoval
	WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas honors and
	commemorates the life of Guadalupe Deanda Sandoval, who died on
	February 13, 2015, at the age of 93; and
	WHEREAS, Lupita Sandoval was an exemplary citizen who was
	beloved in her community for her generous spirit; and
	WHEREAS, She was born on May 7, 1921, in Alfred; she grew up
	in Banquete and spent most of her adult life in Alamo; she and her
	late husband were blessed with a son, Jose Gonzalo Sandoval, and
	with two grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren; and
	WHEREAS, A devout Christian who practiced her faith in her
	daily life, Mrs. Sandoval was a loyal member of San Pablo
	Methodist Church, where she was known to her fellow worshippers
	as "Hermana"; and
	WHEREAS, Mrs. Sandoval would often bake her special pecan
	pie and have candies and pan dulce on hand for visitors to her
	home, and she regularly saved her money to buy toys for the
	children of her neighborhood; and
	WHEREAS, A woman of courage, strength, and compassion, she
	gave unselfishly to others, and her wisdom, warmth, and valued
	counsel will not be forgotten by those who were privileged to
	share in her life; and
	WHEREAS, She was devoted to her large and loving extended
	family, and she leaves behind memories that will be cherished
	forever by her family and friends; now, therefore, be it
	RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 84th
	Legislature, hereby extend sincere condolences to the bereaved
	family of Guadalupe Deanda Sandoval; and, be it further
	RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
	her family as an expression of deepest sympathy from the Texas
	Senate and that when the Senate adjourns this day, it do so in
	memory of Guadalupe Deanda Sandoval.
