R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, Brian J. Fischer has been named a recipient of the
  2015 President's Award by the Houston Bar Association; and
         WHEREAS, The program chair for the association's Juvenile Law
  Section, Mr. Fischer shares the award with the section's chair,
  Judge Michael Schneider of the 315th District Court; thanks to
  their leadership and to the vital assistance of the dedicated board
  members, the Juvenile Law Section was also recognized as
  Outstanding Section; it has sponsored two extremely successful
  two-day conferences attended by juvenile law practitioners from
  across the state; these intensive educational programs both
  featured experts who helped participants learn how to better
  represent their juvenile clients in matters that could have
  enormous implications for their future; and
         WHEREAS, Mr. Fischer has also worked diligently in behalf of
  the section's charitable endeavors, which include support of the
  Harvest Celebration, the Criss Cole Children's Fund, the Harris
  County Juvenile Courts, and the State Bar of Texas Juvenile Law
  Section scholarship fund for young parolees; in addition, the
  section made a large donation to the Houston Alumni and Youth Center
  to purchase necessities for teens aging out of foster care and
  embarking on independent lives; and
         WHEREAS, Through his skill, vision, and commitment to
  excellence, Brian Fischer has contributed significantly to the
  effectiveness of the Juvenile Law Section, and in so doing, he has
  earned the respect and admiration of his colleagues; now,
  therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas
  Legislature hereby congratulate Brian J. Fischer on his receipt of
  a 2015 President's Award from the Houston Bar Association and
  extend to him sincere best wishes for continued success; and, be it
  further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for Mr. Fischer as an expression of high regard by the
  Texas House of Representatives.
