R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Andres Cerecero has ably served his fellow Texans as |
|
|
an intern in the office of State Representative Joe Moody during the |
|
|
84th Legislative Session; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Since joining the staff, Mr. Cerecero has provided |
|
|
vital assistance in handling a wide variety of challenging tasks; |
|
|
in addition to learning more about the legislative process and the |
|
|
issues facing citizens of the Lone Star State, he has gained |
|
|
valuable experience in the field of public service; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Mr. Cerecero is a sophomore at The University of |
|
|
Texas at Austin, where he is pursuing a bachelor's degree in |
|
|
government with certification in business administration; active |
|
|
in campus life, he serves as parliamentarian and as chair of the |
|
|
Student Affairs Committee for the Liberal Arts Council, as an |
|
|
at-large member of the Senate of College Councils, and as a mentor |
|
|
for the Gateway Scholars Program and for Texas Men of Excellence; he |
|
|
plans to attend law school with the goal of one day becoming a |
|
|
criminal prosecutor and eventually pursuing a political career; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, This outstanding young Texan has performed his |
|
|
duties as a legislative intern with skill and dedication, and he is |
|
|
indeed deserving of special recognition for his fine work; now, |
|
|
therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby commend Andres Cerecero for his service as a |
|
|
legislative intern in the office of State Representative Joe Moody |
|
|
and extend to him sincere best wishes for continued success in all |
|
|
his endeavors; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Mr. Cerecero as an expression of high regard by the |
|
|
Texas House of Representatives. |
