          on  Environmental  Conservation -- committee discharged, bill amended,
          ordered reprinted as amended and recommitted to said committee
        AN ACT to amend the environmental conservation law, in relation to hunt-
          ing in Genesee county; and to amend chapter 68 of the  laws  of  2015,
          amending  the  environmental conservation law, relating to authorizing
          hunting  in  the  county  of  Genesee,  in  relation  to  making  such
          provisions permanent
          The  People of the State of New York, represented in Senate and Assem-
        bly, do enact as follows:
     1    Section 1. Paragraph a of subdivision 2  of  section  11-0907  of  the
     2  environmental  conservation  law  is amended by adding a new item (l) to
     3  read as follows:
     4  (l) The county of         Deer and bear, the        Pistol, shotgun,
     5    Genesee                 first Saturday after      crossbow, muzzle
     6                            November 15 through       loading firearm,
     7                            first Sunday after        rifle or long
     8                            December 7                bow only
     9    § 2. Section 3 of chapter 68 of the laws of 2015, amending  the  envi-
    10  ronmental conservation law, relating to authorizing hunting in the coun-
    11  ty of Genesee, is amended to read as follows:
    12    § 3. This act shall take effect immediately, provided that:
    13    a.  the  amendments to paragraph a of subdivision 2 of section 11-0907
    14  of the environmental conservation law made by section one  of  this  act
    15  shall  be  subject  to  the  expiration  and reversion of such paragraph
    16  pursuant to section 13 of chapter 600 of the laws of 1993,  as  amended;
    17  and
    18    b.  the  amendments to paragraph a of subdivision 2 of section 11-0907
    19  of the environmental conservation law made by section two  of  this  act
         EXPLANATION--Matter in italics (underscored) is new; matter in brackets
                              [ ] is old law to be omitted.

     1  shall  be  subject  to  the  expiration  and reversion of such paragraph
     2  pursuant to section 13 of chapter 600 of the laws of 1993,  as  amended,
     3  and  shall not affect the expiration of such item, pursuant to section 3
     4  of chapter 142 of the laws of 2014, as amended[; and
     5    c.  nothing  contained  in this act shall be construed so as to extend
     6  the provisions of this act beyond October 1, 2017, when upon  such  date
     7  this  act  shall  expire  and  the  provisions contained herein shall be
     8  deemed repealed].
     9    § 3. Item (f) of paragraph a of subdivision 2 of  section  11-0907  of
    10  the  environmental  conservation  law,  as amended by chapter 199 of the
    11  laws of 2016, is amended to read as follows:
    12  (f) Southern tier,        Deer and bear, first      Pistol, shotgun,
    13    central and Western     Monday after November     crossbow, muzzle
    14    region, except those    15 through first          loading firearm
    15    counties or portions    Tuesday after             or long bow only
    16    thereof listed in       December 7
    17    item (i), (j), (j)
    18    [or], (k) or (l) of
    19    this paragraph
    20    § 4. This act shall take effect immediately; provided,  however,  that
    21  the amendments to section 11-0907 of the environmental conservation law,
    22  made  by  sections  one and three of this act shall take effect upon the
    23  expiration and reversion of paragraph a  of  subdivision  2  of  section
    24  11-0907 of the environmental conservation law, as provided in section 13
    25  of chapter 600 of the laws of 1993, as amended.
