1		HOUSE RESOLUTION
2		WHEREAS, Police officers throughout the State of Illinois,
3		and particularly in Chicago, have one of the most dangerous
4		jobs in the world and should be recognized for their heroism;
5		and
6		WHEREAS, Police officers in Illinois work diligently to
7		ensure the safety of the general public; and
8		WHEREAS, Every police officer is affected by the daily
9		media reports that highlight the bloodshed and gun violence
10		that have cost too many families the loss of a loved one; and
11		WHEREAS, Police officers work everyday to curb violence and
12		keep Illinois families and children out of harm's way; and
13		WHEREAS, It is our duty as elected officials to honor and
14		respect the brave law enforcement officers of the City of
15		Chicago and the rest of the State of Illinois; and
16		WHEREAS, It is our duty as elected officials to stand with
17		these brave men and women who work tirelessly for our safety
18		during times of crisis and challenge; therefore, be it
19		RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE

1		NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that
2		we never forget the successes of our police forces in their
3		pursuit against gang and gun violence; and be it further
4		RESOLVED, That we honor the brave and hard-working men and
5		women who serve as police officers in the State of Illinois.
