Paragraph (b) of subsection (1) of section 7 648.44, Florida Statutes, is amended to read: 8 648.44 Prohibitions; penalty.— 9 (1) A bail bond agent or temporary bail bond agent may not: 10 (b) Directly or indirectly solicit business in or on the 11 property or grounds of a jail, prison, or other place where 12 prisoners are confined or in or on the property or grounds of 13 any court. The term “solicitation” includes the distribution of 14 business cards, print advertising, or other written or oral 15 information directed to prisoners or potential indemnitors, 16 unless a request is initiated by the prisoner or a potential 17 indemnitor. Permissible print advertising in the jail is 18 strictly limited to a listing in a telephone directory,andthe 19 posting of the bail bond agent’s or agency’s name, address, and 20 telephone number, or uniform advertisements for licensed bail 21 bond agents approved by the jail administration inadesignated 22 locationslocationwithin the jail. 23 24 ================= T I T L E A M E N D M E N T ================ 25 And the title is amended as follows: 26 Delete line 4712 27 and insert: 28 eligibility; amending s. 648.44, F.S.; revising what 29 is considered permissible print advertising in a jail 30 to include uniform advertisements for licensed bail 31 bond agents approved by jail administrators; amending 32 ss. 784.046 and 784.0485, F.S.;
