AN ACT CONCERNING THE PRESENTATION OF A CARRY PERMIT.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

That subsection (b) of section 29-35 be amended to require individuals who are openly carrying a firearm to show their permit to law enforcement officers if asked and if the firearm is visible.

Statement of Purpose:

To require individuals openly carrying to produce their permit if their firearm is visible and if requested by a law enforcement officer.
