AN ACT CONCERNING CRIMES COMMITTED WITH FIREARMS.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

That the general statutes be amended to provide that any crime in which a firearm is used shall be subject to a sentence enhancement which is twenty-five per cent of the sentence applicable to the underlying crime.

Statement of Purpose:

To increase the sentence for crimes committed with a firearm.
