AN ACT REQUIRING THE ADOPTION OF FIREARM REGULATIONS BY THE DEPARTMENT OF EMERGENCY SERVICES AND PUBLIC PROTECTION.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That the general statutes be amended to require that, not later than thirty days after the effect of such amendments to the general statutes, the Department of Emergency Services and Public Protection shall submit regulations to the standing legislative regulation review committee that incorporate any policy or other statement that the department has issued that implements, interprets or prescribes matters concerning any provision of public act 13-3, as amended by public act 13-220, which were issued in violation of the regulation adoption process set forth in chapter 54 of the general statutes.
Statement of Purpose:
To require the Department of Emergency Services and Public Protection to abide by the regulatory review process to implement gun control policies.
