AB 3189, as introduced, Hart. Control of deadly weapons.

Existing law, generally, defines various deadly weapons and regulates the manufacture, possession, sale, transfer, and carrying of these weapons, including firearms.

Existing law prohibits carrying a deadly weapon with the intent to assault. A violation of this prohibition is a misdemeanor.

This bill would make a technical, nonsubstantive change to that provision.

The people of the State of California do enact as follows:

SECTION 1.

Section 17500 of the Penal Code is amended to read:

17500.

Every person having upon the person any deadly weapon, with intent to assault ~~another,~~ another person, is guilty of a misdemeanor.
