An act to amend Section 4501 of the Penal Code, relating to

	LEGISLATIVE COUNSEL'S DIGEST

SB 905, Knight. Assault: force likely to produce great bodily
injury.
Existing law provides that, except as specified, every person
confined in the state prison who commits an assault upon the person
of another with a deadly weapon or instrument, or by any means of
force likely to produce bodily injury, shall be guilty of a felony
and punished by imprisonment in the state prison for 2, 4, or 6
years.
This bill would make technical, nonsubstantive changes to these
provisions.
