Description: Authorizing the Secretary of State Police to establish an alternative expiration date for a permit to carry, wear, or transport a handgun to coincide with the expiration date of the holder's handgun qualification license if the holder is licensed, registered, or commissioned as a private detective, security guard, or a special police officer under specified provisions of law.
