Schnucks asks customers to not openly carry firearms in stores

After a series of mass shootings in other parts of the country, St. Louis-based Schnucks Markets is asking customers to refrain from openly carrying guns inside its grocery stores.

Walmart, Walgreens, CVS and Kroger are among other U.S. retailers with similar requests of their customers.

Schnucks says authorized law enforcement can still open-carry, and customers can have concealed weapons as allowed by state law
