This thread will be updated on a regular basis when new bills come in for South Carolina.

Note: We will only post legislation we feel is negative or positive, those new bills which don't actually effect your rights will not be included but you can always find them on the state legislation page.

H3053 would make anyone convicted of any crime that carries a sentence of one year or more a prohibited person

H3058 would require a completed background check before any firearm can be transferred no matter how long it takes

H3059 is a universal background check bill

H3061 would require all firearms to be locked up if a person knows or reasonably knows a child could get to them

H3109 would create a 7% tax on all handguns to be used for a school safety fund

H3110 would eliminate the tax free second amendment weekend

H3134 would apply new restrictions to where a person can carry a concealed firearm

H3206 would outlaw any device that accelerates the rate of fire of a firearm

H3240 would ban the sale or possession of any device that accelerates the rate of fire of a firearm

H3248 would require all firearm transfers to wait until a background check is completed

H3275 would create extreme risk protection orders

H3311 would require all parties in a vehicle during a traffic stop to disclose if there are firearms in the vehicle

H3363 would legalize open carry

S0054 would prevent any gun transfer from proceeding unless the background check has been completed or at least 28 days has passed

S0055 would prevent any gun transfer from proceeding unless the background check has completed or 28 at least days has passed

S0139 would make carrying a firearm into a large list of places illegal

H3456 is a constitutional carry bill

H3693 would allow a person convicted of a non-violent felony and who has served their time to apply for a partial restoration of 2A rights for hunting only

S0605 would require firearm dealers to wait 10 days before delivering a firearm if NICS does not issue a proceed notification

H4212 would prohibit the transfer of a firearm for 5 days if a NICS check has not returned a proceed response

S0606 is a universal background check bill

H4314 would remove some restrictions on non-residents when carrying in the state

H4307 encourages congress to pass legislation that requires NICS to contact ICE when an illegal alien tries to buy a gun

H4472 would legalize open carry

S0731 would prohibit gun dealers from completing a sale unless NICS returns a proceed signal or 5 days have passed

H4682 would prohibit anyone who is on the terrorist watch list from buying a gun

H4683 would change the penalties for unlawful carry of a firearm

H4684 would make it illegal to discharge a firearm in certain public places

H4704 would prohibit the use of any state funds, property and personnel to enforce any federal law that would regulate firearms, ammunition and firearm accessories

H4697 would make it illegal to sell an 'assault weapon' to anyone under 21

H3774 would remove civil and criminal liability from churches that allow concealed carry

S0293 would allow anyone with a concealed carry permit to carry on school property that is leased by a church for services and functions

H4699 would require all firearms manufactured in the state must be equipped with an electronic chip that 'identifies' the owner
