This thread will be updated on a regular basis when new bills come in for New Mexico.

Note: We will only post legislation we feel is negative or positive, those new bills which don't actually effect your rights will not be included but you can always find them on the state legislation page.

HB101 make it so people renewing or replacing their permit would not have to be fingerprinted so long as their prints are on file

HB130 would require anyone that owns firearms and knows or reasonably should know that a minor could get to them to lock them up

HB35 would require all gun dealers to pay the state a $200 a year license fee and would require them to call any time they purchase a firearm to make sure it's not stolen

HB40 would require private parties who sell a firearm at a gun show to run a background check on the buyer through a dealer

HB8 is a universal background check bill

HB83 would create extreme risk protection orders

SB8 is a universal background check bill

SB201 is a universal background check bill
